a Consultation in one place

Start in one place.

What do you spend money and time on? What of it holds, and what has to go?

The question concerns the whole business. It can be answered in one place. You choose the place, I read it with you.

Seven places

Where the time goes.

Project Reading“My team is working on a lot at once.”

Afterwards you know which project takes priority and what waits for it.You send: the list of current projects, in key words.

Calendar Reading“Too much lands on my desk.”

Afterwards you know what stays with you, what you hand over and what needs settling for that. You send: two typical weeks from your calendar and your recurring tasks.

Where the money goes.

Service Provider Reading“We pay agencies and freelancers. What actually arrives is hard to say.”

Afterwards you know which assignments continue, which get redefined and what you measure the work by.You send: your current assignments to service providers.

Software Reading“We pay for a lot of software. Nobody knows what we really need.”

Afterwards you know which software has a clear purpose, where tools overlap and what can go.You send: the list of your software, with costs and what it is used for.

Relaunch Reading“The website is being rebuilt. What it needs to do is not settled yet.”

Afterwards the goal, the priorities and the criteria for judging the offers are settled. You send: the list of your pages and functions and what you plan for the new website.

Path Reading“People come to the site. Too few become customers.”

Afterwards you know at which step between first visit and order the path breaks, what changes first and what can go.You send: the path in question, from first contact to order, and read access to the measurement.

Account Reading“We pay for ads every month. What comes back, we don’t know exactly.”

Afterwards you know which campaigns demonstrably hold, which only cost money and where the measurement does not yet allow a statement. You send: read access to your ad account and to the measurement behind it.

Seven places. One question.

Choose the place where the doubt is greatest. You do not open up the rest of the business for it.

How it works

  1. The documentsWhich question and which section we work on is settled in the fit call. You send the agreed documents in advance or give read access.
  2. The reviewWe go through them together in one session. I ask where it is needed.
  3. The letterYou get everything in writing, in the Decision Letter.

Document

The Decision Letter.

As with every Consultation, with the same six parts. In one place that means:

The decision: what applies to each agreed point. It continues, is redefined, handed over or stopped.

The reasoning, one sentence per point.

The criteria it was measured against.

The risks that remain, and what still needs settling before a decision.

What no longer needs discussing from now on.

What happens next, and who is responsible for it.

Plus what this frees up, as far as the numbers support it. And what I see beyond that.

Who takes on what

I

  • read the documents before the session
  • ask in the session what lies behind the points
  • write the Decision Letter

You

  • choose the place and the section with me
  • send the agreed documents
  • make the decision

What comes next

Often the letter is enough. Then it ends here.

Sometimes a place shows that the real issue lies elsewhere. Then it is in the letter, under “What I see beyond that”. Whether it continues is your decision afterwards.

Decided

“Our marketing campaign isn’t working.”

One or two campaigns, one message. New trends wait.

Found: Every new trend brought a change of direction. Channels and messages contradicted each other.

Fewer campaigns, more revenue.

Conversation

Name the place.

Twenty minutes, free of charge, nothing to prepare. You tell me where you want to start. I tell you whether the place holds. The price is fixed before we begin.
